About
J. L. Villesvik was born in Alaska but grew up in Kona, Hawaii. He attended Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, and later received a Masters degree from the University of Hawaii.
He has lived in Asia for nearly a decade, first as a student in Japan, then as an ESL instructor in South Korea. While in South Korea, he was also an English-language writer, actor and voice-actor. He has worked with EBS-TV, EBS-Radio, Seoul Broadcasting System, and numerous private institutions and companies making English language tapes.
In the United States, he has worked as a technical and business writer, producing material for start-up and first-seed companies. His clients include several Hollywood producers, for whom he's produced 'look books' and show bibles.
Casino Perilous is his first novel. He is hard at work on Harry Slice's next big crime, Diamond Exchange, as well as a spy novel set in Paris in the 1950s.
J. L. Villesvik currently resides in the Pacific Northwest. He is married, and has two daughters.
